Red-D-Arc, an Airgas company, is North America’s largest welder rental company. We presently operate a rental fleet of over 40,000 welders, positioners, generators and welding-related specialty equipment from over 40 branch locations in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Our business includes rentals, leasing and used and new sales of welding and welding-related equipment and accessories.

Job Description
Drivers provide a vital link with our customers as they represent our company in a positive, efficient manner. The Driver position is an excellent position that offers great growth potential. The ultimate goal of the driver is to efficiently service the needs of our customers and thereby helps the manager and salespeople increase rental income. In fact, the driver is a valuable part of the sales team.

Essential Duties
Efficient and safe delivery of customer equipment requirements as per shipping documentation
Accurate preparation of shipping documentation and travel logs including signed copies of all documents, returns with shortages noted and damages recorded
Operate a forklift, pallet truck and other warehouse equipment
Work closely with rental coordinators to ensure customer needs are met
Maintain an accurate inventory of rental units
Preparation and testing of welding equipment for delivery to customer
Service equipment as required in the field
Practice good shop keeping (keeping work areas clean and hazard-free)

Minimum Qualifications
Clean Drivers Abstract
Commitment to great customer service
Ability to follow instructions and follow through on inquiries, orders, etc.
Good communication skills
Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
Minimum High School Diploma, some knowledge of mechanics and electricity an asset
Own an adequate set of tools for servicing equipment
Ability to read and comprehend vendor repair manual instructionsv Ability to perform very heavy work (routinely lift 25-75 lb, occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs)
Ability to perform work during prolonged sitting (up to 8 hours)
Ability to perform work during frequent bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities
Must be able to work inside and outside in temperatures ranging from 10 to 110 degrees
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
